MEN’S PRAYER & DEVOTION: Saturday, April 5th and 19th ALL men are encouraged to meet with Pastor in the fellowship hall at 7am for prayer and devotion. These prayer meetings have proven to be a great time of fellowship and prayer for our men, and with God’s help we are growing. We realize that without God and His blessings we can do nothing. We realize to minister effectively to our families, Church Body, and Community we MUST pray! Jesus asked, “could you not tarry with Me one hour?” Scripture says, “if two agree on any one such thing it shall be done.” Now is the time to rise (up out of the bed) and join with other Christian men and come into agreement in prayer. If you haven’t attended the men’s prayer let this be the month you start attending!
21 DAYS TO POWER – beginning Monday, March 31st, we are asking you to join us in 21 days of prayer and fasting for our Easter service Sunday, April 20th Traditionally, the Easter service is the most attended church service of the year. We don’t want to just come together to celebrate this special day, but we want people to have a very personal encounter with our Lord Jesus Christ. The fact that we know Jesus is alive offers hope for every person who surrenders their life to the Lord. We do not have what it takes to bring people to Christ, however if we will fast and pray, the Holy Spirit will anoint us to reach the hearts and lives of our families and friends. I am committed to fast coffee during these 21 days, and I am asking you to seek the Lord about what He would have you to fast. I believe we will experience a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Easter Sunday. Listen for reminders as we get closer to the end of this month. This would be the perfect opportunity for you to be in prayer and invite YOUR “ONE” to be your guest. Pray, Encourage, Invite, & Disciple! We must reach people for Christ!
“FILL THAT TRUCK” the RCOG helps support the Smokey Mtn Home for Children in Sevierville, TN. This is an orphanage started years ago by the Church of God and houses 100 children that have been orphaned and not adopted.
The HFC sent out a request to the churches in Indiana of needs they have in order to help these children and the cottage house parents. Not by coincidence, but by God’s appointment The McDonald’s will be going to TN for to visit family over Spring Break. Cody & Alaina have so graciously volunteered to deliver supplies to the HFC.
We would love to fill their camper shell, BUT, we only have until Thursday, April 4th to do it!!! The list of needs can be picked up at the welcome center, and you may already have extra items at home. If you would prefer not to shop and would like for needed items to be picked up for you then you may put the money in a tithe envelope and hand it to Laura Thomson no later than Monday, March 31st and the items will be purchased on your behalf. Here are a few items you may have around the house or can purchase very easily: toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, men & women’s deodorant, dish soap, body wash, all purpose spray cleaners, fabuloso floor cleaner, art supplies (colored pencils, crayons, washable markers, coloring books), pots, pans, silverware, any and all batteries, tin foil, plastic wrap, plastic containers, toothpaste, hair brushes/combs, fabric softener sheets, free & clear laundry detergent, dish cloths, sponges,…………..You’ve got the idea, so let’s ALL pull together and fill the back of Cody’s truck so we can bless the socks off our HFC!
